Alvin Ailey and Me: Renée Robinson

Renée Robinson, who danced with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater as a member of the company from 1981 through 2012, spoke with us about her time with the company and working with Alvin Ailey. She discusses dancing with AILEY for 30 years, how Alvin Ailey would always encourage the dancers to go to museums, and what it was like to see the Edges of Ailey exhibition knowing how much museums meant to Mr. Ailey.
