Multiple Edition: Lize Mogel

Drawing on her interest in global networks, urban development, and geographic information, Lize Mogel creates maps that challenge conventional cartography. Her work reveals social and political forces that shape our understanding of the world. This evening she brings her “map mash-ups” to the Whitney, engaging visitors in an imaginative geography project.

This season, Multiple Edition takes a cue from blog culture and considers the the theme of oversharingwhat inforamtion do we give away; how do we share our thoughts, process, or materials; what would constitute too much for an artist?
