Narrator: Porpentine Charity Heartscape uses a program called Twine to make the hypertext games that are available to play on these computers.

Porpentine Charity Heartscape: Twine is just an easy way to make stories that are hypertext that link to each other that essentially work the way a website does, except for fictive purposes as well.

I'm really interested in immersing the reader in a physical location that they keep testing and testing the boundaries of day after day, and becoming intimate with like the way you get intimate with a shitty apartment. Like all the little failings of it. I immerse the reader in these patterns of sleep, of eating, of working, and I think whatever medium you're using, having this friction is very important to grounding people in that space.

I want them to feel tired so that, when they do figure out how to progress, when there is some brightness in the narrative, it feels earned and it feels like happy, like you could actually feel exhilarated about it.
