Narrator: In 1989, the Whitney Museum invited Koons to create an outdoor billboard for Image World, an exhibition exploring the relationship between art and the media. Jeff Koons.

Jeff Koons: I thought, "You know what I'll do? I'll create this billboard that's advertising a film. I'll call it Made in Heaven, and it'll be starring myself, Jeff Koons, and Cicciolina. It'll be like I became another star."

Narrator: La Cicciolina was the stage name of Ilona Staller, an adult movie actress and member of the Italian parliament.

Jeff Koons: I hired Ilona and I went to Rome, I treated everything as a readymade. Used the same photographer she always worked with, used the same sets she always worked with, had her wear the same type of dresses, same type of makeup, and I did a photo shoot with her to create the billboard. We ended up flirting with each other and we fell in love.
