A chorus of mixed male voices sings ♪ Ajax! ♪ before a male announcer with a pleasant, persuasive tone speaks. The chorus of voices includes a bass singer who adds some percussive ad libbing to the jingle by vocalizing with “bum”, and a soloist with a higher pitched voice. The overall tone of the song is upbeat and quickpaced.

A zapping, electric sound then a slide whistle as the box drops. A high pitched buzzing with the triangle of insects.

A yowl and then a slide whistle as the insects fall. Many percussive sounds as the herd of insects moves across the screen. 

Announcer: – attacks them –

A cymbal crash as the cloud sweeps over the herd. 

Announcer: – and kills them dead. A little goes a long way. Kills bugs even where they hide. 

A clap as the cloud hits the insect, then one crashing drumbeat.

Speaker 1: (annoyed) Oh, I’ll get it. Honestly I hate the way these paper napkins keep sliding off your lap! 

Speaker 2: (in a low, friendly voice) Madam. 

Speaker 1: (shocked) Gracious, now I’m seeing things! 

Speaker 2: (jovially) Oh no, I’m Manners the Butler, and I wish you’d try Kleenex table napkins. They won’t slide off your lap! 

Speaker 1: (astounded) Really? Why, it’s true! Why, they cling like cloth! 

Manners: And Kleenex table napkins are strong enough to last through the whole meal without shredding. 

Speaker 1: Mm, and they’re so soft! None of that stiff, papery feel. (Timmy babbles) And just the right size! 

Manners: Yes, they’re perfect for every member of the family. And remember, Kleenex table napkins won’t slide off your lap. They cling like cloth. Thank you. 

Announcer: Meet Mr. Clean! Procter and Gamble’s new, all purpose liquid cleaner. 

The jingle is made up of bell-like, upbeat instrumental and two voices: a male singer with a pleasant, folksy voice, and a female singer with a clear, happy tone. They sing, alternating lines and starting with the male voice:

♪ Mr. Clean will clean your whole house and everything that’s in it ♪ 
♪ Floors, doors, walls, halls, those sidewalk tires and old golf balls ♪

A sweeping, grand orchestral entrance is accompanied by a chorus of pleasant voices. They sing reverently:

A harp sweeps in, then a jovial flute and bells play an upbeat melody.

Warm harp and strings. The chorus hums pleasantly along; a soloist sings a beautiful, clear note operatically.

More sweeping, grand orchestral music and harp. The chorus resumes:

A low staccato drumbeat vibrates in time with the animation.

Drumming stops.

Cartoon boy 1: Your teeth look whiter than new new new!

[Medium toned beep] 

Speaker 1: Ladies, do you ever wish for a magic sauce to pep up that tired gravy or stew you’re cooking? Wish granted! Because that magic sauce is Heinz [gibberish vocalizing]. [Clears throat] That’s Heinz [gibberish]. [Coughs, chuckles] You see, this dark, richly spiced sauce is made through an authentic English recipe. And what it does for fish dishes, chops, even your glass of tomato juice is nothing short of miraculous! So ladies, be sure to get Heinz Worcestershire sauce. Heinz Worcestershire sauce! Oh, beans, too, but you’ll love Heinz [gibberish]. No matter how you pronounce it, say Heinz first, and you know it’s good because it’s Heinz!   

♪ A plucky, simple, pleasant tune composed of woodwinds and plucked string instruments. The general tone of the piece is meandering and triumphant. ♪ 

Speaker 1: [Voiceover] Fifty to sixty years ago, people were introduced to peanut butter for the first time. They looked it over carefully. The daring and courageous bought it. Well, children loved it. But Ma and Pa were more critical. They discovered it had several drawbacks. It became oily, and sticky, and didn’t stay fresh very long. It was rather hard to digest, didn’t taste like peanuts. Grown-ups never became peanut butter fans until 1933, when a new kind of peanut butter started to appear in grocery stores. It looked different, it smelled different, it tasted different – it had practically nothing in common with the old style product.
