Discordant string instrument plays as if warming up. Instrument begins to play a jaunty, chordal tune. Swing and percussive elements give the feeling of a fiddle tune played by a cello. Music slows to a few sporadic notes. Music grows in confidence and volume, adding a bowed melody line accompanied by plucking. The instrument seems to be playing double stops or bowing two strings at the same time. Tune resolves in a confident, comfortable harmony, then shifts in cadence and temperament. We hear a groan sound, then three more as if moaning in disapproval “Mm, mm mm”. Slower baseline plucks along in this new folky tune that seems more serious than the previous one. Plucked notes are stronger than the bowed sections with an overall lower register. Low warbling and reverberating notes play intermittently as the song carries on. Notes have a cadence similar to an echoing groan or a shortened cow’s moo. Tune shifts to resemble the beginning of the song with a medium-toned bowed line and jauntier melody. The seriousness of the song is underscored by the lower, warbling moments. The lower, groany moments begin to grow in presence in the overall soundscape of the song. The groans increase in frequency and volume, adding a pained or uncomfortable feeling to the piece. Groaning instrumental moments take on a clumsy, insistent presence. Each note is a miniature swell in volume, rising and falling inside the melody with greater frequency. Groans give way to high-pitched, frenzied bow movements, maintaining the tune's insistent feeling. The warbling returns behind the primary melody. The higher pitched back and forth persists. Descending scale slides across four notes, repeating a few times and rising in octave to repeat again. Scale coexists with the back and forth bowed melody, plucking, double stops, and low warbling sounds. The overall feeling of the song is folky, complex, insistent, and solemn. Tune gets more discordant and less full sounding as instruments begin to drop out.

Silence.
