Throughout the Whitney

Student Members

We know how stressful college life can be—especially when it comes to finding time to relax. Take a study break and immerse yourself in great art at our event designed especially for student members. Spend a Sunday afternoon diving deeper into the Whitney’s collection with Joan Tisch Teaching Fellow Angela Brown, exploring artists’ relationships to labor and leisure in the works on view. Plus, stick around after the tour to meet other student members and enjoy complimentary refreshments in the Whitney Café.

Angela H. Brown is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Art and Archaeology at Princeton University, with research interests in textiles, archival practices, and art pedagogies, especially in the Caribbean and Latin America. Angela holds a B.A. from Vassar College and has worked as a writer and editor for art galleries, magazines, and independent publishers in New York. She continues to work with contemporary artists on research and text-based projects and is a Joan Tisch Teaching Fellow at the Whitney Museum of American Art.
