Floor 5

Sunday, October 6, 2–3:30 pm

Inspired by Survival Piece #5: Portable Orchard, which explores the need for a productive and sustainable food system, this hands-on artmaking workshop invites participants to draw and paint the fruits that grow on trees in spaces surrounding the Museum, such as honey locust, ginkgo, and little leaf linden. Considered alongside the varieties of citrus found in the installation, which cannot survive outside the Museum, this workshop explores how the urban environment can contribute to our collective sustenance and how we can steward those resources.

Materials will be provided; no experience is necessary.
