Floor Seven

Spotlight tours offer an opportunity to slow down and look closely at select highlights from Human Interest: Portraits from the Whitney's Collection. Guided by a Museum docent, participants are encouraged to study and discuss works together. Each forty-five minute session either focuses on a single work of art, or explores a connection between two works. This session looks at Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney (1916) by Robert Henri, and New York Portrait (1970) by Susan Hall.
