Featuring over 120 works, The Whitney’s Collection: Selections from 1900 to 1965 tells the story of the Museum’s founding collection and then weaves through major art historical movements and genres of the early and mid-twentieth century. This display features beloved icons including Calder’s Circus as well as major new acquisitions such as Norman Lewis’s American Totem. Each tour, lasting approximately fifty minutes, will be led by one of the Museum’s Joan Tisch Teaching Fellows. A wine reception will be available throughout the event.
