Undercurrents: Experimental Ecosystems in Recent Art, the Whitney Independent Study Program's 2010 exhibition, addresses issues of responsibility within the idea of ethical cohabitation-how to live together and how to be in the shared environment. Soundwalk at North River Wastewater Treatment Plant is one in a series of events organized as a part of the exhibition.

Soundwalk at North River Wastewater Treatment Plant is organized and led by the New York Society of Acoustic Ecology (NYSAE) members:Edmund Mooney, Jamie Davis, Andrea Polli, and invites participants to explore the sound ecology of the North River Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Please note that Undercurrents does not take place at the Museum. The Kitchen is the primary site of the exhibition; additional sites include the High Line, the Little Red Lighthouse and the North River Waste Treatment Plant. Please consult individual calendar listings for details.
