Throughout the Whitney

Open to Friend, Patron, and Whitney Contemporaries members

Join curatorial staff and fellow supporters for an opening celebration of Sixties Surreal—an ambitious survey of more than 100 artists including Andy Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Ed Ruscha, and more. The show recontextualizes some of the decade’s best-known figures alongside those only recently rediscovered, exploring artists’ notions of the decade’s cascading social and political changes.

During this time, Christine Sun Kim: All Day All Night, Mary Heilmann: Long Line, Shifting Landscapes, and “Untitled” (America) will also be on view.
