Floor 1, Lobby

Take a trip through the Sun Ra-inspired sounds of the sixties with an immersive collaborative performance by Dave Guy and April Hunt, inspired by Sixties Surreal. On the occasion of the show’s final weeks on view, stop by the Whitney’s Lobby for live, improvised performances on the hour, with musical interludes throughout the evening.

Known for his work with The Roots and Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, trumpeter Dave Guy will play live, intertwined with an Afrofuturist DJ set by Mixtape creator April Hunt.
