Floor 3, Theater

In the closing program for his self-titled exhibition, Jason Moran discusses how the history of jazz is being preserved, shared, and reinvented today. Inspired by Moran’s sculptural pieces that reimagine the storied New York City clubs Savoy Ballroom, Three Deuces, and Slugs’ Saloon, this conversation connects historic sites of jazz with current Black musical and visual art production. Speakers include Moran; Kamilah Forbes, Executive Producer at the Apollo Theater; Deborah Gordon, owner of the Village Vanguard; and artist Adam Pendleton.

Tickets are required ($10 adults, $8 members, students, seniors, and visitors with a disability).
