About Asad Raza's Weekend Guests
As part of his work for the 2017 Biennial, Root sequence. Mother tongue (2017), Asad Raza has invited a series of guests to occupy the installation with choreographic, musical, and intellectual events for weekend visitors to the museum. Comprising mentors, friends, and younger creative practitioners, the group is a plurivocal portrait of the artist’s community. View the full program.

Rafay Rashid: Jungle Badtameez 
This program includes a live rock show featuring drums, bass, guitars, synthesizers and the human voice against the backdrop of real trees.

Rafay Rashid (b. 1990, Islamabad, Pakistan) is a musician from Providence, Rhode Island and Islamabad, Pakistan. His band, Ravi Shavi, has just released their latest single, "Hot."

Collaborators include Melody Attarha, Laurel Atwell, Felicia Douglass, Bryan Fielding, Laura Hajek, Opal Hoyt, Nick Iddon, Nikima Jagudajev, Ariana Lee, Jesse McFadden, Sean McVerry, Nick Politelli, Wasim Rashid, and Samson Jardine.
