Contemporaries Patrons

Join us for a private collection visit with Bernard I. Lumpkin and Carmine D. Boccuzzi at their Tribeca home. Their collection features a range of contemporary artworks in all media. African-American artists predominate, with a special emphasis on emerging voices of the last 25 years—including Kevin Beasley, LaToya Ruby Frazier, Rashid Johnson, Deana Lawson, Kerry James Marshall, Jennifer Packer, and Henry Taylor. The collectors' commitment to these artists is part of a broader mission of artist advocacy and institutional support. Bernard Lumpkin is a former member of the Contemporaries, and he currently serves on the Whitney's Education Committee, and the Painting & Sculpture Committee.

Open to Contemporaries Patrons members. Space is limited, and location will be provided upon registration. Email contemporaries@whitney.org for more information.
