For all ages

An artist is an ordinary person, who can take ordinary things and make them special.
–Ruth Asawa

Ruth Asawa made the print Untitled (Potato print branches, purple/blue) using a surprising material, a potato. She sliced the vegetable in half, carved a drawing into it, and then used it to print a rhythmic composition.

Artists of all ages are invited to join us in the Artspace to make a work of art using fruits and veggies. This is the last weekend to see Ruth Asawa Through Line, so make sure to head into the galleries too. Don’t forget to grab an all-ages drawing guide inspired by Asawa’s drawing practice. You can find them at the Artspace check-in table and in the gallery on Floor 8 too.
