New York City teens

Join us for the opening of the 2017 Whitney Biennial and a special workshop! New York City teens are invited to an artist-led Open Studio with Postcommodity, an artist collective whose current members are Raven Chacon, Cristóbal Martínez, and Kade L. Twist. Their video installation in the Biennial, A Very Long Line, focuses on the border between the United States and Mexico, an emotionally and politically charged site that has become even more contentious through the 2016 election and the beginning of the current presidential administration. Join Postcommodity in a discussion about their work and a collaborative project!

Free for teens. Pick up a ticket from a teen volunteer in the lobby when you enter the Museum. Refreshments and art materials provided. No RSVP required – bring a friend! Questions? Contact Youth Programs at youthinsights@whitney.org.
