Open to teens

Inspired by the Harrisons’s Survival Piece #5: Portable Orchard, teens are invited to participate in a community workshop with GrowNYC Education. This hands on workshop will explore the connections between food sovereignty, climate action, and community organizing. Led by program co-founders Chantel Kemp and DK Kinard, teens will dive into discussions about our relationship with food, the environment, artistic expression in agriculture, and the role of sensory awareness in making change. At the end of the workshop, attendees will receive a seed packet and an informational guide on citrus plants.
