Bring your family to a special Open Studio focusing on our new exhibition Human Interest: Portraits from the Whitney’s Collection. Join artist and illustrator Jason Polan for a large-scale portrait drawing workshop in the Susan and John Hess Family Theater.

Jason Polan’s illustrations have appeared in publications such as The New York Times and The New Yorker among others. As creator of the project Every Person In New York, he draws people in subway stations, museums, restaurants, and on street corners, representing the characters he sees with expressive black lines.
