High school students in grades 9–12

Join us for virtual Open Studio for Teens workshops! Teens are invited to a free art-making program on Zoom with Whitney educators. Each week, participants will experiment, create, and learn together with at-home art projects inspired by the Whitney’s exhibitions and collection.

Salman Toor is known for his small-scale figurative works that combine academic technique and a quick, sketch-like style. Thinking about Toor's technique of combining facial features from several people to create the figures in his paintings, teens will be challenged to make collaged portraits from their own drawings.
