High school students, grades 9–12

Teens are invited to Open Studio for Teens, a free art-making program on select Fridays. Experiment, create, and learn techniques with art projects inspired by the Whitney’s exhibitions and collection.

This two-part series is inspired by Jennifer Packer’s intimate and politicized artwork of family and friends combined with traditional art historical practices.  In this workshop, teens will learn how to paint intimate acrylic self-portraits for the span of two Open Studio for Teens sessions.
