Floor Three, Hearst Artspace
Brazilian-American artist and experimental composer Arto Lindsay invites families to create sculptures out of foam and contribute to a growing installation in the Artspace. Lindsay will join on Saturday morning to work with families and answer questions about his practice.
During the program, Lindsay’s project Myth Astray will take place in the Susan and John Hess Family Gallery and Theater next door. This project is presented in conjunction with the exhibition Hélio Oiticica: To Organize Delirium and explores Tropicália, samba, and the Brazilian avant-garde through a series of talks, screenings, and musical performances.
