Floor 5, Terrace

Friday, July 11, 7 pm, 8:15 pm

Join the Whitney for a performance by Miles Okazaki as part of our partnership with Public Records.

Miles Okazaki is an American guitarist and composer based in New York City. His musical style is described by the New York Times as “utterly contemporary, free from the expectations of what it means to play a guitar in a group setting — not just in jazz, but any kind.” For Free Friday Nights, Okazaki will perform Work: the compositions of Thelonious Monk for solo guitar.

In addition to live music performances, join us on Friday nights for DJ sets on select nights, world-class exhibitions of contemporary American art, cocktails with views at Studio Bar, and more.
