We’re celebrating the work and lives of LGBTQ+ artists—among Whitney members, in the community, and in our galleries—at this special edition of Member Night. The Museum will be open late for an evening of performances, music, artmaking, tours, talks and more.

Start your Member Night experience early and stroll by local spots near the Whitney with our Educators as your guide to the rich LGBTQ+ history of the Meatpacking District.

Mini Talk: Reimagining Pride
Floor 5
Gain insight into how the Biennial has offered space for artists to raise ongoing LGBTQ+ concerns as a part of American identity from its conception to the present in this pop-up talk with Teaching Fellow Patryk Tomaszewski.
Plus, later this month: Tune in for an expanded version of Patryk’s presentation on Zoom.

Legendary Drag and Draw
Floor 3, Susan and John Hess Family Theater
Join three icons from Legends of Drag—Coco LaChine, Reverend Yolanda, and Ebonee Excell—for a vibrant evening of figure drawing and pop-up performances. This workshop, led by Teaching Artist Stina Puotinen, showcases queens who paved the way for new generations of drag artists and hold legacies of leadership in their communities.

Non-Alcoholic Cocktail Workshop with John deBary
Join bar expert, author, and consultant John deBary for a mini discussion and tasting of a signature non-alcoholic cocktail from his book Saved by the Bellini. Consider the innovation that can arise in the absence of a seemingly cornerstone social beverage.
