Start celebrating Halloween at the Whitney with after-dark access—just for members! Explore our newest show, Sixties Surreal, alongside our full exhibition lineup in an art-inspired costume. Don your fantastical fashion, uncanny outfit, or whimsical evening wear to invoke surrealist spirits as you wander the Whitney. This special soiree also includes Preview access to High Wire: Calder’s Circus at 100, mini tours, music, artmaking, and more. 

Artmaking: Sketch Spectacular
Drop in and join Teaching Artist Stina Puotinen for figure drawing with a twist, turn, and toss. Delight in pop-up shows from ABCirque as you sketch the artists’ extraordinary forms.  

Tat-or-Treat
Enjoy a selection of free temporary tattoos inspired by works on view and pick up sweet treats to celebrate Halloween!

DJ Hesta Prynn 
Hesta Prynn is a celebrity DJ, licensed therapist and radio personality known for blending music, art, and culture into unforgettable experiences. For the Surreal Soiree, she’ll be spinning a groovy mix of surreal ‘60s, funk, and Halloween-ready dance floor vibes.
