Floor Three, Susan and John Hess Family Theater

Sound experimentalist Matana Roberts continues a series of open-ended, sound-based excavations as part of her extended research residency that builds off the Whitney’s inaugural exhibition America Is Hard to See. Over the course of a five-day open studio residency in the theater, Roberts will explore and experiment with new material combining sound, video, and visual scores that culminate in a final project this winter.
