6:30 pm, Darian Donovan Thomas
8 pm, Balún

Join us for a performance by Brooklyn-based electronic indie band Balún. Hailing from San Juan, Puerto Rico, the quartet self-identifies as transnational and combines a wide field of genres and influences into a revelatory sound. In their latest album Prisma Tropical, heavy doses of tiple, bomba barrel drum, and dembow work alongside loops and layers of shimmering synths to accomplish something explicitly of the island, yet fluent in the language of global pop.

For Free Friday Nights, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and interdisciplinary artist Darian Donovan Thomas performs solo at 6:30 pm and alongside Balún at 8 pm. This performance continues our partnership with Brooklyn-based performance venue and community space Public Records to bring music to Free Friday Nights.

Admission is free to all visitors every Friday evening from 5–10 pm. In addition to music, join us for performances, world-class exhibitions of contemporary American art, cocktails with views at Studio Bar, and more.
