We're headed up the Hudson for a full day of art! First, we’ll stop at The Granary, a private exhibition space that houses works from the collection of Whitney trustees Melva Bucksbaum and Raymond Learsy. The current exhibition, The Distaff Side, features female artists from the collection including Jenny Holzer, Cindy Sherman, Marina Abramovic, Louise Bourgeois, and Mika Rottenberg, among others. In addition, the property includes an art library and outdoor sculpture by Eric Fischl, Markus Lupertz, Bryan Hunt, and Ian Hamilton Finlay, all of which can be seen weather permitting.

Next, we’ll have lunch (included) in the town of Wassaic, New York, home of The Wassaic Project, where we’ll tour this year’s installation of artwork by artists in The Wassaic Residency Program. The Wassaic Project and the Wassaic Artist Residency Program are two separate but closely connected organizations that offer complementary programming, co-located at the Maxon Mills, Luther Barn, and surrounding facilities. The Wassaic Project produces exhibitions, a summer festival, and an arts education program; the Wassaic Artist Residency Program is a competitive residency program that brings artists into the hamlet of Wassaic to live and work for periods of 1–6 months.
