Washington Square Park

Contemporaries and Contemporaries Patrons

Whitney Contemporaries are invited to join members of the Edward Hopper’s New York curatorial team for a pop-up talk and happy hour near the site of Hopper’s long-time New York studio and home: Washington Square Park.

Senior Curatorial Assistant Melinda Lang and Curatorial Research Assistant Colton Klein will discuss what this part of the city meant to Edward Hopper, who lived on Washington Square North from 1913 until his death in 1967. Afterward, enjoy a social happy hour with fellow Contemporaries members.

Meeting location will be provided to registrants closer to the event date.
