8–9:30 pm

Floor Three, Susan and John Hess Family Theater

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Whitney celebrates access and inclusion for all with Heidi Latsky Dance. Incorporating dancers with and without disabilities, the mission of Heidi Latsky Dance is to redefine beauty and virtuosity through performance and discourse, using performers with unique attributes to bring rigorous, passionate and provocative contemporary dance to diverse audiences.  The program will feature a screening of the film Soliloquy (2015) and a performance of Somewhere (2013) with new, minimal staging, and a discussion and Q&A with Ms. Latsky and members of the company. This program is presented in collaboration with the New York City Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities.

Soliloquy is part of Dance for Film on Location at Montclair State University, produced by the Montclair State University Office of Arts and Cultural Programming.

This event is free with Museum admission. Registration is required.

The Susan and John Hess Family Theater is equipped with an induction loop and infrared assistive listening system. Accessible seating is available.
