Hauser & Wirth 511 West 18th Street

Contemporaries Patrons members

Whitney Contemporaries Patrons members are invited to Hauser & Wirth for a gallery staff-led tour of Mark Bradford. Be Strong Boquan. The title, Be Strong Boquan, is taken from Bradford’s new multimedia work Spiderman (2015), which is presented together with a series of new paintings, sculpture, and a second video installation. A reception in the Roth Bar will immediately follow the tour.

Mark Bradford (b. 1961) is a Los Angeles–based artist whose work is represented in the Whitney’s permanent collection. He was included in the 2006 Whitney Biennial and awarded the 2006 Bucksbaum Award, an honor that led to a 2007 exhibition, Neither New Nor Correct: New Work By Mark Bradford. Bradford’s Bread and Circuses (2007) was included in the Whitney’s inaugural exhibition America is Hard to See.

Space is limited and open to Contemporaries Patron members. Become a member, or upgrade your membership by calling (212) 570-3641.
