Floor 1, Lobby
6:30 pm, James Moore & Andie Tanning
8 pm, KatzPascale
Join the Whitney for a performance by KatzPascale, co-presented by Brooklyn-based performance venue and community space Public Records.
KatzPascale, the neo-classical-post-punk-anti-pop duo composed of Sammi Katzmann and Jenna Pascale, combines the haunting warmth of the cello with the soulful, expressive tones of the saxophone to lay ground for vocals as an instrument. Drawing from both classical and contemporary idioms, their music navigates the liminal space between emotional intimacy and experimental rigor.
For Free Friday Nights, KatzPascale will be joined by James Moore and Andie Tanning. Performing on acoustic resonator guitar and violin, their performances often incorporate text, singing, electronics, and theatrical elements.
Admission is free to all visitors every Friday evening from 5–10 pm. In addition to music, join us for world-class exhibitions of contemporary American art, cocktails with views at Studio Bar, and more.
