A painter uses paint and a sculptor might use clay, but how do performance artists create their work? Families will explore Rituals of Rented Island: Object Theater, Loft Performance, and the New Psychodrama—Manhattan, 1970–1980 and learn how artists use their bodies, environment, and different objects in their art. Families will then create and perform their own work.
