Edward Steichen once said, “photography records the gamut of feelings on the human face.” Families will visit Edward Steichen in the 1920s and 1930s: A Recent Acquisition and American Legends: From Calder to O’Keeffe to compare how Steichen and artists such as Alice Neel and Jacob Lawrence express a person’s character in different ways. Participants will then create their own portraits.
