Floor 8

Join us for an artmaking program celebrating Disability Pride Month. Led by Annie Nishwani Lachhman, a disabled artist, and Lakshmee Lachhman-Persad, an educator on disability inclusion and accessibility, the workshop invites participants of all ages and backgrounds to learn about the progressive Disability Pride flags, explore various aspects of disability, and create their own art.

This event has been created with care around our disabled visitors and their families. All are welcome to share in artmaking that explores their own pride and joy.

Disability Pride month is celebrated every July to commemorate the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) on July 26, 1990.

ASL interpretation will be provided. Masking is highly encouraged for this workshop; masks will be offered. To request additional access services or for questions, please email accessfeedback@whitney.org
