Join artist and educator Mark Joshua Epstein for a hands-on sketching tour, as we explore the work on view in America Is Hard to See. Learn about the early history of the original Studio Club, in which artists attended drawing classes at Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney’s salons, and then engage with works on view by experimenting with drawing materials and techniques in the galleries. There will also be cocktails, rooftop views, and sketching on the eighth-floor terrace (weather permitting)!

Mark Joshua Epstein is a visual artist and educator. Recent shows include Stupid Meetings at Breve, Mexico City, Microscopes And Binoculars at Hoffman Lachance Gallery in St Louis and A Risky Investment for Boys on the Move at Brian Morris Gallery Project Space in New York. Epstein has been a resident at the Millay Colony and the Macdowell Colony. He has an upcoming solo show at Biquini Wax, Mexico City.
