Contemporaries are invited to Sikkema Jenkins & Co. gallery for a curatorial-led walkthrough of Kara Walker's exhibition, Sikkema Jenkins and Co. is Compelled to present The most Astounding and Important Painting show of the fall Art Show viewing season! 

A reception will immediately follow the tour.

Kara Walker (b. 1969) is a New York-based artist whose work is represented in the Whitney's permanent collection. Walker was included in the Whitney's inaugural exhibition America Is Hard To See in 2015 and a solo museum show in 2007–08 entitled Kara Walker: My Complement, My Enemy, My Oppressor, My Love.
