Contemporaries members are invited to a special opportunity to tour Jaune Quick-to-See Smith: Memory Map with exhibition organizer Laura Phipps, Assistant Curator at the Whitney Museum of American Art.

Jaune Quick-to-See Smith, a citizen of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Nation, has led and initiated some of the most pressing dialogues surrounding land, racism, and cultural preservation—issues at the forefront of contemporary life and art today. Memory Map, the groundbreaking artist, curator, and educator’s largest and most comprehensive retrospective to date, features nearly five decades of paintings, sculptures, drawings, and prints, offering new frameworks to consider contemporary American art.

A light reception will be offered beginning at 6:30 pm prior to the tour at 7:15 pm.
