Families with kids of all ages

You are invited to Open Studio From Home, free weekly online art classes with Whitney educators! Participants will experiment, create, and learn together with at-home art materials.

Salman Toor creates paintings that offer glimpses into the imagined lives of young, queer, Brown men. His paintings reveal friends gathering together in lush interiors to dance, gaze into their smartphones, or play with puppies. Through these moments, Toor explores notions of community.

This week, we will use drawing and collage to create our own imagined gatherings that depict faraway family, friends, pets, and more.
