The semi-annual Breakfast with the Director offers a rare opportunity to join Adam D. Weinberg, the Whitney’s Alice Pratt Brown Director, for an engaging conversation with an art world insider. This edition of the event will feature a discussion with Scott Rothkopf, Nancy and Steve Crown Family Curator and Associate Director of Programs. Scott joined the curatorial department of the Whitney in 2009. Since then he has organized many noteworthy exhibitions, including Glenn Ligon: AMERICA (2011), Wade Guyton: OS (2012), and, most recently, Jeff Koons: A Retrospective (2014). He is also part of the curatorial team currently planning the inaugural exhibition for the Museum’s new building, opening in spring 2015.
