The semi-annual Breakfast with the Director offers a rare opportunity to join Adam D. Weinberg, the Whitney's Alice Pratt Brown Director, for an engaging conversation with a contemporary artist. This edition of the event will feature a discussion with choreographer Sarah Michelson (b. 1964). Michelson participated in the 2012 Whitney Biennial, presenting the piece Devotion Study #1—The American Dancer. She was the recipient of the 2012 Bucksbaum Award, which recognizes a Biennial artist whose work demonstrates a singular combination of talent and imagination. Currently, she is preparing a new project that will be presented at the Whitney this winter.
