In the words of writer and director Mick Taussig, Berlin Sun Theater: The Mastery of Non-Mastery is a theater piece—not a performance, not a play, but theater–becoming–ritual, impelled by the re-enchantment of the sun in our age of global meltdown. The intention is to connect the human body to the passage of the sun each day as it crosses the sky of history, disappearing in sleep, with flecks of ice crystals, when flying.
Performers:
Mick Taussig (writer and narrator)
Kira Manso Brown (producer)
Kyle Bukhari (dancer)
Feride Eralp (chorus)
Peter Johnson (projection and video)
Bentley Meeker (mise-en-scène)
Anni Rossi (composer)
Olivia Ambrosia Taussig (animation)
This event is organized in collaboration with Maika Pollack.
