Open to all ages

Inspired by Shifting Landscapes artist María Berrío, visitors of all ages are invited to draw a flower celebrating an important woman in your life. Use color, symbols, and words to reflect her qualities you admire most. When you’re finished, cut out your flower and add it to our collective bouquet. Then explore the Museum! Be sure to return to see how the bouquet blooms throughout the day.

María Berrío’s painting A Universe of One is created from delicate layers of Japanese paper, which she cuts, tears, and enhances with watercolor. Her collages often center women portrayed with powerful gazes that radiate strength and resilience. Each piece is a blend of personal memory and universal narratives.
