Open to Teens

Teens are invited to the Art Portfolio Development program, an opportunity for aspiring artists to learn how to craft a compelling portfolio directly from colleges. Join us in person or via Zoom to hear from experienced art educators and college representatives, who will share invaluable insights into their art degree programs. Discover how to build a portfolio that reflects your unique artistic voice and stands out to admissions committees. After the presentations, engage in a Q&A discussion to deepen your understanding of the elements that make a portfolio exceptional.

For in-person participants, our Open Studio for Teens, led by a Whitney educator, offers a creative space to draw inspiration from exhibitions on view, while making a work for your portfolio. Create a new artwork or bring a work in progress for additional guidance.
