Open to all ages

Artists of all ages are invited to create their own sky remix collage inspired by Lorna Mills’s Caughtinmoment (2017). Cut, layer, rearrange, and combine images of sunrises, sunsets, clouds, and light to create an entirely new sky of your own!

In Caughtinmoment, Mills breaks images of sunrises and sunsets into shifting, pixelated forms, transforming familiar views of the sky into something abstract and unexpected. The work was created for Sunrise/Sunset, artport’s series of Internet art projects that temporarily take over whitney.org at sunrise and sunset.

After making your work of art, head to the galleries to explore artport: A History of Internet Art, an exhibition marking the 25th anniversary of the Whitney’s online gallery for Internet art and highlighting the many ways artists have experimented with the web as a creative space.
