On July 20, YI Arts Careers met with I.D Aruede, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at the Whitney Museum. Chatting with I.D., we learned about the institution’s financial side, which is something that doesn’t always come to mind when thinking of an art museum. So much goes into being CFO, from working with marketing, to dealing with the budget, to making sure the Whitney is able to afford the Youth Insights programs! Some of the YI teens who are interested in business were really able to dig deep and begin to understand the financial workings of a large cultural organization.
