Bucksbaum Award-winning artist Mark Bradford creates large-scale, abstract collages that he assembles out of found paper, often collected from his neighborhood in South Central Los Angeles, California. In the workshop, Bradford led families through his solo exhibition, Neither New nor Correct: New Work by Mark Bradford and discussed his everyday inspiration. He then asked families to create layered collages based on his works, incorporating text, such as lyrics, poems, or phrases that were meaningful to each participant.
