Artist Nina Chanel Abney joins curator and scholar Lowery Stokes Sims in the Stuart Davis: In Full Swing galleries to discuss Davis’s work and its importance to artists today. Abney paints vibrant figurative works that boldly explore popular culture and issues of gender and race. As a Curator at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Sims curated the exhibition Stuart Davis, American Painter in 1991.
