Every Friday, 5–10 pm

Admission to the Whitney is free for all visitors every Friday evening from 5–10 pm. Enjoy art, drinks, special programming, music, city views, and more.

Admission to the Whitney is free for all visitors all day on the second Sunday of every month. Enjoy art, all-ages artmaking related to art on view, tours, the Whitney’s restaurants, city views, and more.

Whitney Biennial 2026

The Museum’s flagship exhibition remains the must-see art experience of the season. Taking over most of the Museum’s gallery spaces, the Biennial features a diverse roster of artists navigating the complexities of modern identity and American culture. Discover works by fifty-six innovative contemporary artists and collectives working in film, performance, new media, painting, and sculpture, taking on a global resonance and showcasing international perspectives.
